Small business owner? Refused a loan by your bank?

If you own a small business and trying to get a loan from your bank without success, there is one more thing you can try.

In the December 2009 budget, the Minister for Finance introduced a simple review process for small businesses and farmers that have been refused a loan from their bank.

The Credit Review Office has been established to conduct this review process. The Credit Review Office will carry out an independent and impartial review of the bank’s decision.

The review process will review decisions to refuse or change credit facilities from €1,000 up to €250,000.
