cheepcheep.ie – Save up to 50% on groceries without travelling north of the border

Cheepcheep

I was contacted during the week by an Irish entrepreneurial husband and wife team, Nafisa and Kevin Brennan. They have launched the website CheepCheep.ie, Ireland’s "first click & collect discount grocery warehouse".

They claim that their prices are "typically 50% less than mainstream supermarkets" and that  "consumers can avail of huge savings on branded everyday household products without having to travel north of the border".

They have a grocery warehouse outside Bray in county Wicklow. Customers can order online at cheepcheep.ie and collect their shopping whenever they like within four days.

They are cheap because they use a different business model than traditional
supermarkets. No huge overheads of a large retail space
because the shopping is performed online and they also buy produce in a
different way, often dealing directly with the manufacturer or taking
clearance stock.

This sounds like a fantastic idea and all here at Thrifty Pages wishes them the best of luck!
