What is this website about?
This website is all about learning how to thrive in the Irish recession.
You do not have to be a victim of circumstance. A recession can be a time to thrive.
This recession can be an opportunity to think creatively, learning how to live without the unnecessary trappings of consumerism, debt and the psychological baggage that comes with it.
We are bringing you our own experience of learning how improving your relationship with money can have a huge impact on your overall well being.
We set up our own computer consulting business in 2005 and went full time straight away, knowing very little about financial management.
As a result of our lack of experience and delays in receiving payments (which is standard in Irish business!) our cashflow suffered badly and we had to learn how to budget and make our money stretch. Thankfully our business survived and our finances recovered! We have learned how to thrive in difficult circumstances.
The good thing for us is that now we are psychologically prepared for the recession. We hope that our website can help others who may find themselves in a financially constrained situation.
